Huawei honor play review!!

Honor play is not only a beast but a very stable device according to me, its been my daily driver for almost 3 months now and I can say that its amazing for what it costs, I got it for 16000rs from amazon on offer so it was a great deal for me, I had other options too like the poco f1(it’s main rival) poco f1 does offer a good camera and a better processor but the build quality of that phone is nowhere close to the honor play which is a metal unibody construction and looks and fells premium. Let’s talk about processor now

Processor:its heart is Huawei in house built processor which is kirin 970, its a very good processor and stands some where between snapdragon 835 and 845, scroces on antutu benchmark proves it ability, its process is bundled with Mali g72 mp12 gpu which is a flagship gpu and performance is breathtaking in this phone I had installed pubg and the graphics were automatically set on high and I played it with full HD settings and believe me IT didn’t struggle for even a second. Yes kirin 970 is a processor which was used by Huawei in last year flagship phone honor 10 but believe me its as good as it gets and still in the market its a very fast chipset.

Battery:Now talking about the battery an 3750mah li-polymer battery, it gets it job done well enough, it easily gets me a battery backup of around a day with constant use of social websites and occasional games.

Camera:well in this department some would say that it’s not that good but in my personal experience the camera is just superb and believe me I previously owned a iPhone 7 plus and some of the photographs I have taken from the honor are way better then 7 plus, its an 16mp camera sensor with 2mp depth senor, it also offer AI photography which enhances your photo and make it more vibrant and lively, it justs over saturates your photos that’s it. But the effects are really good, it could tell you that the picture your taking weather its food or water its recognises various different scenes it also offer 4k recording. Talking about video recording on this device it’s average I would say. And shots taken in day time are really good and crisp with lots of details and good dynamic range, but in night it’s below average I would say. Talking about the front camera it’s a 16 mp shooter which can again take good photographs in day time but in night it struggles to capture details.

Memory: Its offer 64 gb on board memory which is expandable upto 256gb via micro sd card slot buts its hybrid slot so you can’t use your second sim card if your using a micro sd, well that’s upto you I think 64 gb is more then enough for an avg consumer. It offers 4 gb ram and a 6 gb ram variant.

Display:Display is really good for a phone that costs only 15k nowadays, its a full HD plus display with resolution of 1080*2340pixels that’s roughly 409 ppi and display offers really good details and excellent blacks, colours on the display looks just lovely. And to state the obvious it’s has a notch display.

Os: it was shipped with android oreo 8.1 but got update of android 9 this year

Sensors:It has all the important sensors like proximity, gyro, compass and a fingerprint that’s located on the back, talking about fingerprint sensor on this phone its just phenomenol like all other Huawei devices, it’s fast and responsive.

Connectivity:It offers Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, WiFi 802.11, and has a USB c port and yes it’s does have a auxiliary port(thank god).

Verdict:So should you buy this phone in 2019, its a big yes, it is still a very sweet deal and offer a lot and kirin 970 is best thing about this mobile.
